Homeward was honoured to be awarded with the January--Business of the Month presented by the Wallaceburg Chamber of Commerce. A beautiful wall plaque was recieved with the following words: Homeward Realty was established in March of 1995 in a 3 bedroom apartment next to Taylor’s Variety. This humble beginning was perfect for our needs and allowed us to move to our present location on Duncan Street in 1998. In 2007 and 2008 we completely renovated our premises inside and out, with a new façade (thanks to the Municipal program), new reception area, board room and offices. Our staff and Realtors (13 and counting!!) love our new look and are proud to have added to the upgraded look of our street and the businesses around us. As very active supporters of the community, Homeward has taken part in the yearly Big Bike ride for Heart and Stroke, a street dance last summer with proceeds for the two local food banks, and recently, in answering the call for assistance during the Olympic Torch run. To that aim, with very short notice, the Homeward Team rallied the community, schools and locals, sending emails, finding someone to bake cookies (about a thousand), and collected hundreds of cards for the 250 people who are part of the official run-team. With these expressions of affection we hoped to ease the loneliness of spending their Christmas in a hotel room. In addition, the Annual Homeward Star Search has become a much-anticipated event, attracting contestants from far and wide, and supported by many locals who come out to urge on their favourites. This is a free event with the contestants in pursuit of the $1000 prize money we offer, and I must say, if you’ve never attended, you are missing out on a surprising array of talent offering fabulous entertainment! Homeward is committed to providing service that excels beyond the ordinary, whatever our clients needs. It’s our fine attention to detail, follow-through and even empathy with our customers that sets us apart from other real estate professionals, and as such is anticipating another busy year and continued growth in 2010. |
